Alexandra Shipp

At just 23 Shipp is making major moves these days and clearly, she hasn’t allowed the flop known as Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B to slow her stride. In addition to her forthcoming role as Ice Cube’s wife, Kim Woodruff, in N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton, the beautiful lass has also snagged a role in X-Men prequel, X-Men: Apocalypse.

Shipp will play a young Ororo Munroe aka Storm—a role that has been previously played by Halle Berry in other X-Men movies.

She was raised in Phoenix, Arizona. Although her recent hairdo betrays little about her ethnicity her father is...
black and her mother is white. She started doing plays very young and met her manager at 14, her very first audition was for Nickelodeon.
She moved to Los Angeles at the age of 17 to pursue an acting career.

Director Bryan Singer tweeted this about her:

I couldn't be more stocked waiting to see her when the movie comes out in 2016!
